Right?! My kids think I have a black belt in worrying, but really I'm a pretty basic level mom worrier. As I tell them regularly, they'll get it when they become parents someday. When your heart walks around on other people's legs, it's a whole different type of worry.
Yowza, you had a lot of uh-oh moments with your kids growing up! It can be considered rational at this point to continue to have concerns.
I know a woman who is 100+ who spent so much time worrying that she doesn’t “feel right” is she *isn’t* concerned/worrying about one thing, big or small. She was prescribed anti-anxiety meds but is worried she will become addicted so she only takes 1/4 the dose—and only if she feels the anxiety is extreme.
Your concerns seem quite normal. Your stories are the stuff of parents’ nightmares. We had our share of “adventures” with our kids, too, but you win the prize! 🏆
The fact that we all survived relatively unscathed is definitely cause for celebration. And I think I'm a pretty normal mom-worrier. My mom was a pro-level hand wringer. I do not come close to her level. (Although my kids might state otherwise.)
OMG! So many scary, cute, and unique adventures. When they grow up, every day feels like a survival of the fittest. 💙

I hear you, Leslie. And the trouble sneaks in when you least expect it.
